Otsuka Sensei is the current Soke (or headmaster) of Meifu Shinkage Ryu.

Ryan Wells, Arizona Branch Leader

Ryan first met Otsuka Sensei on a trip to Japan in March 2009. When he moved to Japan in 2010, he continued to train in Meifu Shinkage Ryu as the only non-Japanese member of the Osaka branch. During this time, he was fortunate to train with Otsuka Sensei several times a year in Osaka or in Tokyo.

Now, Ryan is representing Meifu Shinkage Ryu in Arizona in the hopes of promoting this unique art.
